Drip Point Anomalies

Examples of melted, flattened, or misshapen drip points, the result of removal from the mold before the glass was fully set. This can occur on any style but is more common on larger pieces like CD 252. It usually detracts from a piece. Irregular or uneven Drip Points are not considered anomalies since all pieces pressed using that particular collar will have the same drip points (see Base Types).

These appear to be RDP but were actually CDP that either melted slightly after removal from the mold, or were not fully formed in the insulator press, here on a CD 164

Another example of CDP that are melted and appear round, here on a CD 281. On this piece all the drip points were melted evenly, making it appear that the piece was made with round drip points.
