CD 162 - Type II, Mold G5
Features: Reworking of CD 162 I, Mold G5 to correct lettering and widen wire groove. Lettering is now strong and even with triangular edges. On front, traces of original misshapen N and upside down G can be seen beneath new letters, as well as faint circular blotouts beneath LYNCHBURG. On reverse, original incorrect periods before .U.S.A are faintly visible (see CD 162 III, Mold G5). MADE IN is often indistinct. Original mold number is very faint if visible at all; a new mold number is die stamped to the left and below NO, slanted to the left (see below). This mold was reworked again to further widen the wire groove, CD 162 III, Mold G5.
