CD 162 - Type I, Mold G6

Color: Lt. Aqua
Base Type: CDP:w

Features: Front lettering is very crudly engraved, uneven, shallow, with rounded edges. The N is backwards and the G is upside down. This is sometimes called "script" lettering. There are five large circle blot-outs beneath LYNCHBURG. MADE IN U.S.A. on reverse is likewise crudly done; the M is misshapen, the E and S are too large, and the periods are placed before the letters instead of after (see below). There are three circle blot-outs beneath MADE IN U.S.A. This mold was reworked into Type II, Mold G6, reworked again into Type III, Mold G6 and then retooled once, Type III, Mold G6.1.

Mold Number Location: Reverse centered below NO.
