CD 106 - Type I, Mold G6.1

Color: Lt. Blue Aqua with Green swirls
Base Type: CDP:n

Features: Retooling of CD 106, II, Mold G6; lettering is strengthened, now strong with triangular edges. On reverse, U.S.A. is enlarged and new periods added; the old periods are still visible. On reverse, there is a very small hand engraved mold number on reverse about 16mm left and slightly above U (see below). This kind of small mold number was typical of Gayner molds. A second die stamped mold number is added on front to the right of L logo.

Additional Information: This is one of the few Lynchburg molds that occur with two different types of crown tops on the same bottom pieces of the mold (CD 106 Type II, Mold G6.1). Type I is the original Gayner "hat top" with a smaller crown top that leaves a 5mm ledge on the top side of the upper wire groove lip. Type II is the later version with a fully rounded top that slopes to the edge of the upper wire groove lip (see CD 106)

Mold Number Location: On reverse to the left of U. A second number on front to the right of L logo.
