CD 106 - Type II, Mold L5
Features: Lettering is generally strong with triangular edges; reverse lettering is more uneven and slightly weaker. There is no L logo. On the front, the C is made similar to the G. On reverse, the S slants slightly to the right; there are a series of nine irregularities beneath and between the letters U.S.A., more obvious on some pieces. These may be remnants of previous lettering or repair of a damaged mold (see below). Mold number is often very faint and barely legible.
Mold Number Location: On reverse between and slightly above NO. and 10.
