CD 106 - Type II, Mold L4
*in this piece a glass fold obscures 10 on reverse
Features: On front, lettering is generally strong with triangular edges; C resembles G; H is wide. On reverse, lettering is more uneven and slightly weaker, with both rounded and triangular edges. Period following NO is very weak and not visible on some pieces; right leg of N is longer; O is elongated vertically; E of MADE is larger than other letters (see below). U.S.A. is placed very close to the base rim and widely spaced. Mold number is often weak. This mold was retooled, CD 106 II, Mold L4.1.
