CD 106 - Type II, Mold GA
*piece is slightly lighter than photos
Features: Lettering is crude and shallow, with rounded edges. On the front, LYNCHBURG is placed high near wire groove and is very weak. Due to the pressure of pressing the glass to form the threads, in all but the first insulators made from this mold the lettering is very worn, to the point of being indistinguishable. There are a series of circular blot-outs beneath the top half of L logo. On reverse there is a small circular blot-out beneath 1, the periods in .U .S .A are placed before the letters. This mold was retooled (CD 106, II, Mold A.1).
[Note: this is listed as an unnumbered mold because there is no mold number discernable. The listing may be changed with additional information.]
Mold Number Location: Not distinguishable.
