CD 106 - Type II, Mold G5
Features: Lettering is shallow, uneven, with rounded edges. On front, LYNCHBURG is placed slightly lower on the skirt than most former Gayner molds, and so is usually readable. On reverse, NO. is strong, while the remainder of the lettering is very shallow and weak; 1 is placed slightly lower than 0; S slants to the right; there is a dot of glass resembling a period inside the lower right corner of O of NO. The original Gayner mold number is barely visible. This mold was retooled to strengthen lettering, CD 106 II, Mold G5.1.
Mold Number Location: on reverse beneath the top left corner of E.
