Features: Retooled CD 106 II, Mold G12; lettering is strengthened, now strong with triangular edges. On front, L in logo is off center to the left; there are barely discernable circular blot-outs beneath LYNCHBURG. On reverse, U.S.A. is enlarged and new periods added; the old periods are still visible (see below). The lower curve of S is elongated. There is a very small hand engraved mold number on reverse about 18mm left of U (see below). This kind of small mold number was typical of Gayner molds, although its placement is not typical of Gayner mold numbers. This mold was retooled to add a second mold number to the front skirt, CD 106 II, Mold G12.2.
Mold Number Location: On reverse to the left of U.
